Featured on HGTV’s Beyond the Box, this house merges two fantasy homes: farmhouse and modern loft. A compact footprint protects the watershed and suggests a vertical design. Corner windows create panoramic views. The center hall organizes the plan and opens to the floors above, creating unexpected connections in all three dimensions. A galvanized steel spiral stair culminates at the third floor cupola, with steel grate floor, built-in day beds and 360-degree views of the surrounding woods. Photos by Center Studio and Dale High.
