A textbook live+work design for a documentary filmmaker in downtown Durham. The private loft apartment shares the second floor with the owner’s film editing studio. Her workspace is the fulcrum between the two spaces. An entrance at each end, along with careful planning and building code analysis, insures that she can separate the two spaces in the future, selling one or both as independent condos.
